Susan An

Susan joined St Augustine’s as an Assistant Minister in 2016. She loves reading, relaxing on the beach and drinking coffee – ideally, all at the same time! She particularly enjoys spending time with family, especially with her two adorable nephews.

She loves nothing more than to see people growing in the knowledge and love of Jesus, especially women and children.

Susan oversees our Women’s, Youth & Kids’ ministry & can be contacted on 0401 627 944 or email

Student Ministers

Danae Bjorem

Danae joined St Augustine’s Anglican church as a Student Minister in 2015, when she left sunny QLD to move to Moore Theological College, Newtown. She had met a strapping young man, Nick, whom she marries in April 2016!

Having been a Registered Nurse for 5 years, she couldn’t stop thinking about how the God of the Bible alone offered the unfading hope, love and forgiveness this broken world needs. Driven by a desire to see others know God too, she moved to Sydney to study more at Moore, and to learn how to teach others about God, hopefully full-time one day. She always welcomes a good cup of coffee or tea, a game of ultimate frisbee, and new, interesting music recommendations.

Tom Conyers

Tom CTom was born and bred in Wagga Wagga, and came to know Christ as his Lord and saviour as a 17 year old. He later moved to Canberra where he trained as a classical pianist and worked as a piano teacher, but he gladly threw all that away so he could train for ministry and share the good news of Jesus with anyone who will listen. He did a ministry apprenticeship in Canberra plus a year and a half of training in student ministry overseas.
Tom is now in his 4th and final year of studies at Moore College and looking forwards to sinking his teeth into scriptures even further in the year ahead.

Keith Hill

Keith joined us as a student minister in 2016. After dealing drugs to pilots as a Pharmaceutical Officer in the RAAF, he completed a Ministry Apprenticeship with AFES at CSU Wagga and then headed to Moore College in 2014 to learn more about Jesus and be trained to share him with as many people as possible. Keith is married to Kate, and they have one son, Ethan, with another baby on the way in May 2016. He loves to spend his free time with his family, watching and playing sport, reading and playing guitar.

Nick Woodward

Nick grew up in Hobart and moved to Sydney for university, and became a Christian through the campus ministry at UNSW. He went on to do a ministry apprenticeship and is now in second year at Moore College, and is getting married to fellow student minister Danae Bjorem in April!

Ron King, JP Monck and Kim Parish  are three elected parishioners who fill an important role. They are responsible for managing the finances and buildings of our church and assist the ministry team in many ways.

Churchwardens are elected (2) and appointed (1) at the church’s annual business meeting.

Sue Whitehead is the bookkeeper, who manages our church accounting functions for the wardens.

Our church could not function without the help of all the members who volunteer to do many things. These include teaching the Bible in the local primary school, staffing the church office, cleaning the church building, maintaining the buildings and grounds, serving in kids church and the creche by introducing kids to Jesus Christ.
